I was gathering some information for a Stake Relief Society Dinner and came across this amazing form of art called "Alfombras de Flores" or Flower Carpets.

Tarma is the flower capital of Peru, and the world capital of "alfombras de flores". These remarkable art forms are created during "Semana Santa" (Holy Week) leading up to Easter.

Why am I telling you about these carpets? Other than the fact that they are amazing! I Think it would make for a creative, informative, activity for the youth.

Why couldn't you take a section of the church parking lot, sidewalk in a nearby park (check with the city first), basketball court, or open field.

As a group create a "alfombras de flores" representing the Young Women Values or the Young Women Logo - the Torch.
